I started my career as a certified medical assistant working for 7 Internal Medicine Physicians. Through that experience I realized my passion truly was to help people be healthy, prevent disease. I went on to work for a Chiropractor with whom his practices more aligned with mine. That position gave way for me to become a physical therapy tech and ultimately becoming a physical trainer, helping patients to rehabilitate through wellness programs. I went on to coordinate, direct and then manage many fitness establishments over the years such as; Golds, Bally Total Fitness, YMCA, Anytime Fitness, including my own Crossfit business.
For the past 13 years I have been fortunate enough in such roles as Health Educator and Health Promotions Assistant on 3 active military bases to be able to utilize my knowledge and expertise to create a Tabata Protocol for helping so many military members pass their annual Physical Fitness test (PFT) and stay off the failure list.

In my personal life I have naturally sought out exercise to relieve stress, which in turn became a personal passion of mine. Through my experiences in an array of fitness trends such as step aerobics, running, taebo, turbo kick, body pump, budokan, all the way to power lifting and body building, coupled with my university level studies, certifications and countless personal experiences with diets such as the mediterranean, pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan, and the paleo diet has allowed me to help guide others on their own personal health journeys successfully. There is no one size fits all when its comes to health, and I have found that any diet and exercise routine has its benefits and any discipline one chooses is only truly successful when you stay consistent. Helping people find that perfect mix is my passion!

My medical training, along side my Bachelors of Science in Alternative Medicine and Masters in Public Health Administration has helped open doors to positions that have allowed me to share my personal and professional experiences while obtaining more knowledge. In leveraging my expertise in training thousands of individuals to gain strength, lose weight, fight disease, prevent injury, gain function, endurance, stability, flexibility, play a sport, pass a physical fitness test, reduce and eliminate medication use, gain mental clarity and confidence, II have come to truly appreciate the individual in all of us.

Military & Civilian Health Systems Subject Matter Expert: JTSI is a technology based business for voice, video, and networking communications solutions. A Hawaii-based company with teams working around the world to support the U.S. DoD, NATO, and the United Nations, as well as state & local government and commercial businesses. I provided expert knowledge and recommendations in Military & Civilian health systems design, systems documentation development, software design, systems architecture, systems integration, data analysis and decision support services for software developers, architects, clients and senior management. Developed for U.S. military medical teams. Trained military combat medics, nurses, and physicians on point of injury care utilizing handheld First Responder mobile devices. Worked with Google Glass app, fused with mobile device technology for medical proposes.
I have been a part of many emergency response teams throughout my career. I worked in emergency medical services (EMS), drove ambulances as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and graduated from Daytona State Fire College where I became a certified fire fighter/EMT. My training focused on high angle and water rescue capabilities with HAZMAT and CBRNE knowledge while assigned to a fire rescue unit. I ultimately received my Master’s degree in Emergency & Disaster Management. I have set up emergency operational plans (EOP) and became the officer in charge of Hurricane Recovery Team 3 (HRT3) and the Decontamination team for the 6 Medical Group, MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. Utilizing my expertise on all four levels of Occupational Safety and Health Administration Personal Protective Equipment. Teaching personnel on how to train and be accustomed with the gear one has at their individual facility utilizing the train-the-trainer process.
I really enjoy serving others and still have a lot to give to the fight. It is the greatest triumph of my life to have come up from poverty to serve alongside other military members. To help aid service members and civilian personnel in mind and spirt through nutrition and training at the numerous bases I have been stationed around the world, to have been able to share in their struggles so they could continue to stay fit to fight – those are moments I cherish.
I was given the Air Force Commendation Medal, for helping so many get off the fitness failure list and preventing discharge packages being sent up due to fitness. But not even that captures the essence of what it means for me to serve others. My experience as a Subject Matter Expert, RN, Firefighter/EMT bring together a specialized skill set. My career has been motivated by a devotion to help excel Military & Civilian Health Systems. I appreciate the opportunity to share my experiences with you.
